Have a surge protector to protect your machine from power fluctuations and expensive repairs costing hundreds of dollars.
Ensure safety tether/ safety key ends are secured on to the garment and console properly and also make sure the safety tether is removed and kept safely out of reach of kids.
Place Treadmill on level surface, preferably use treadmill mattress to create a static bar and avoid residual electrostatic discharge (ESD) thru you.
Avoid using extension cords with the machine. Connect it to the wall mounted power socket with proper earthing. If there is no other option use heavy duty extension cords above 14 AWG.
Never leave treadmill in running condition
